Wide Disruption in Air Navigation and Airlines Expand the Suspension of Their Flights to Riyadh

International airlines extended the suspension of their flights to and from the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in new measures that included Filipino, French-Dutch, and German companies, amid disruptions witnessed in aviation movement in the Kingdom.
Philippine Airlines announced the extension of the cancellation of its flights until the 29th of next November, while the French-Dutch aviation group decided to continue the suspension of its flights until the 31st of this current October.
In the same context, the airlines affiliated with the German Lufthansa group canceled all their flights to Riyadh until the 16th of this current October, in a step added to the decisions to suspend flights and extend their cancellation taken by several international companies.
The Reuters agency reported that the continuous Yemeni attacks on Riyadh Airport led to the decline of aviation movement in the airspace of the Saudi capital to almost non-existent levels, noting that these developments caused one of the largest waves of disruption witnessed by the Saudi aviation sector in years, with repercussions on air navigation movement and economic activity in the Kingdom.
