Disputes and Scandals Shake the Saudi Coalition Camp in Taiz
Taiz — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Calls by officers, individuals, and fighters of the so-called “Popular Resistance” affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition in various areas of Taiz have been escalating for several days, demanding that they be supplied with weapons and ammunition.
Activists loyal to the coalition spoke about hundreds of vehicles and large quantities of weapons and ammunition still being in the possession of the appointed governorate supervisor, Youssef Al-Sharaji, amid accusations against him of refusing to distribute them to the forces on the fronts.
Information indicates that the Saudi-led coalition had previously rejected Rashad Al-Alimi’s demands to supply the Taiz axis with weapons, on the pretext that the axis’s leaders had previously kept the weapons and sold them, at a time when the fighters on the fronts are facing an acute shortage of ammunition and equipment.
This development comes amid an accelerating collapse of the coalition’s fronts in Taiz, with the withdrawal of many military brigades, in conjunction with an exchange of accusations between the leaders of the Islah Party about responsibility for what happened, which reflects the depth of the crisis that the coalition camp is living through, and the absence of any unified strategy for dealing with the field advance of the Sana’a forces.
