Did the Houthis foil an Israeli plan in Al Mokha
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Egyptian writer Somaya Asaleya published a political analysis through a post on the X platform, in which she addressed the ongoing developments at the Yemeni port of Al-Mokha and the strategies related to the Red Sea.
Asaleya pointed out that the port of Al-Mokha, located near the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait and actually under the control of Tareq Saleh’s forces and housing a military base, was planned to fall within Israeli influence.
The writer explained that the port is part of a large-scale Israeli project aimed at encircling the Red Sea. She elaborated that this project begins from Somaliland, passing through attempts to divide Sudan and control its ports, as well as controlling the Assab base in Eritrea, reaching the Yemeni island of Socotra and the port of Al-Mokha.
Asaleya questioned whether the “Houthi” leadership had received intelligence information about Israeli movements at the port of Al-Mokha or the exploitation of its military base, which may be the reason behind the recent targeting of the port, according to her analysis.
