Yemeni tribes declare general mobilization and issue warnings to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi against escalation
Northern regions of Yemen have witnessed a wave of widespread tribal alert and mobilization amid escalating indicators of external moves that could push towards a new military round against Yemen.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Several tribes gathered in the Hajourin districts of the Hajjah governorate in an armed gathering, during which they declared a state of “readiness and general mobilization” to confront any potential aggression. They directed direct warning messages to Saudi Arabia and the Emirates about the danger of escalating against Yemen.
Large tribal gatherings were also witnessed in the governorates of Marib and Sa’ada, carrying messages to Riyadh demanding it adhere to and implement previous understandings without procrastination, warning that deliberate obstruction would lead to “calculated and decisive” responses.
The mobilization was not limited to those areas, as a state of alert has spread among tribes in the governorates of Sana’a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Al-Jawf, Al-Mahwit, Amran, Al-Hudaydah, Taiz, and Raymah, with strong warnings of a massive collective response in the event of any attempt to open a new fighting front.
These widespread popular movements coincided with reports of American and Israeli efforts to push the region towards a new wave of escalation targeting Yemen, reflecting the state of vigilance and readiness within tribal society to stand behind the defensive choices of the Sana’a authorities in facing any pressures or external interventions.
