The death toll from Israeli genocide rises to 55 000

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll from the genocide perpetrated by Israel against Palestinians since October 7, 2023, has risen to “55,362 martyrs and 128,741 wounded.”

In its daily statistical report, the Ministry said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received “65 martyrs and 315 wounded” within 24 hours, as a result of the ongoing Israeli shelling and gunfire attacks.

The Ministry explained that the total number of “martyrs who sought a livelihood and arrived at hospitals from areas designated for the distribution of (American-Israeli) aid has risen to 300 martyrs and more than 2,649 wounded since May 27,” after 26 Palestinians were killed and more than 117 wounded in the past 24 hours.
