Continuous Israeli aggression in southern Lebanon

Southern Lebanon witnessed a new Israeli escalation on Sunday, including artillery shelling, airstrikes, ground movements, and arson, coinciding with continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire.

At midnight, Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, near Mayfadoun in the Nabatieh district, while shelling also struck the Aita al-Jabal forest in the Bint Jbeil district, according to Lebanese sources.

In the Nabatieh district, two Israeli airstrikes hit the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and its surroundings, while other sources reported three airstrikes on the town’s old square. One of these strikes targeted an ambulance team that was heading to the site of two previous airstrikes, but no injuries were reported among the paramedics, according to published information.

Simultaneously, the occupation forces continued their demolition and destruction operations in several southern towns, amidst movements of their vehicles and forces in the border areas. The towns of Mays al-Jabal and al-Mansouri witnessed explosions and Israeli shelling in recent hours, with the sound of some of the explosions reaching areas in the Tyre district.
