Iran confirmed on Monday an Israeli narrative regarding the involvement of a Gulf state in targeting infrastructure.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the water station in “Qeshm” was targeted by one of the neighboring countries.
It is not yet known whether the Iranian official meant that the aggression was launched from that country or that it was the one that carried out the attack.
The Iranian statement came following the Israeli occupation’s revelation of its ally, the UAE’s, involvement in the operation that targeted the station, while absolving it of blame.
The targeting of the station came after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced a gesture of goodwill to the Gulf countries regarding halting attacks. However, hours later, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi came out to reveal that America had foiled the step by targeting civilian infrastructure.
Targeting a civilian facility in Iran is considered a war crime and could ignite the fuse of a comprehensive confrontation in the region.
