The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA),Philippe Lazzarini, condemned on Saturday the Israeli bombardment that killed nearly 30 people in Gaza, describing it as “another dark day” for the Strip.

In a post on the X platform, Lazzarini criticized the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, calling it a “sham” and stating that a ceasefire means stopping the killing and paving the way for an end to the war, something the people of Gaza have long deserved.

The Commissioner-General of UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, confirmed that more than 500 people, including 100 children, have been killed since the ceasefire agreement in Gaza went into effect last October.

The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn today has risen to 32, most of them women and children.
