Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip confirmed that Israeli occupation aircraft launched a series of violent raids at dawn yesterday, Thursday, targeting various areas in the Strip, just hours after the announcement of reaching an agreement on a proposed formula for a ceasefire between the occupation and the Hamas movement.

Civil Defense official Mohammed al-Mughayer explained that “since the announcement of the agreement on the ceasefire proposal in Gaza last night, several explosions have been recorded, especially in areas north of the Strip,” noting that the shelling was concentrated on Gaza City.
He said that the center of Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, was subjected to artillery shelling and airstrikes at dawn. He added that warplanes flew low over the tents of displaced people in the southern Gaza Strip and Gaza City at dawn on Thursday.
The Israeli occupation army renewed its threats to displaced Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday morning, warning them against returning to their areas in the northern Gaza Strip and Gaza City, citing “ongoing military operations.”
The army spokesperson said that “the area north of Wadi Gaza is still considered a dangerous combat zone.” He added that the occupation forces “continue to surround Gaza City,” considering that “returning there is extremely dangerous.”
