The center stated in a fact sheet titled “Genocide of a Generation,” published Saturday, that its teams working in the Gaza Strip have monitored and documented the killing of 21,745 children under the age of 18 since the start of the war, in addition to approximately 46,000 injuries among children, including 11,000 lower limb amputations.

It explained that the violations were not limited to killing and injury, but extended to starvation, disease, displacement, and deprivation of healthcare, education, and adequate housing, amidst a continuous deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Strip.

The center indicated that 123 children died as a result of malnutrition and dehydration during the war, while 293 deaths were recorded among newborns and premature infants, in the context of the collapse of health services, power outages, and shortages of medicines and medical supplies.

It pointed out that approximately 700,000 children have been deprived of basic rights, including health, education, and adequate housing, since October 7, while approximately 300,000 children under the age of five have suffered from malnutrition and starvation.

He added that children, in addition to hunger and disease, face the risks of epidemics and diseases spreading, as well as displacement, arrest and early labor, which exacerbates the humanitarian, social and psychological effects of the war on an entire generation.
