The head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Salama Marouf, stated that the Gaza Strip has entered a dangerous phase in terms of its humanitarian situation, warning that it could become a “mass graveyard” if the appeals for help are not answered promptly.

Marouf told Anadolu Agency that “the Gaza Strip has entered a dangerous phase in terms of its humanitarian situation, witnessing an unprecedented deterioration in all aspects of services and living conditions after the complete cessation of electricity and water supplies.”

He pointed out that “Israel is working to obliterate entire residential neighborhoods, forcibly displacing hundreds of thousands of citizens from their homes, and exterminating entire families by bombing their houses while they are inside.”

He added that “the bombing operations have resulted in massacres, with a large number of martyrs that morgues are unable to accommodate, and an increasing number of wounded in hospital corridors after all beds and operating rooms and intensive care units were filled.”

He continued, “This reality makes Gaza a disaster area subjected to collective punishment and genocidal massacres.”

Marouf warned against any delay in responding to the appeals for help. He said, “The delayed response will result in the Gaza Strip becoming a mass grave, where people die either from bombing and destruction, hunger and lack of potable water, or the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases.”
