The “Eye of Humanity” center revealed what it described as a shocking toll of victims from the war waged by the Saudi-Emirati coalition with American support in Yemen over 3,900 days, confirming that the scale of human and material losses reflects the breadth of the targeting and the depth of the tragedy the country has lived through in the past years.
In its report, the center stated that the total number of civilian casualties reached 54,219, including 19,446 martyrs and 34,773 injured.
This toll includes 4,244 child martyrs and 5,401 injured children, in addition to 2,543 women martyrs and 3,237 injured women, reflecting the nature of the widespread targeting of the most vulnerable groups.
The report indicated that the coalition systematically bombed vital facilities and infrastructure, including 15 airports, 16 ports, 488 electricity stations and generators, as well as 716 communication stations and networks, 3,577 water tanks and stations, and 2,501 government facilities, in addition to destroying 8,869 roads.
The targeting also targeted the production and transportation sectors, with 467 factories, 642 fuel tankers, and 16,686 commercial facilities destroyed, in addition to targeting 503 chicken and livestock farms, 12,196 transportation vehicles, and 581 fishing boats, along with burning and destroying 1,172 food warehouses, 565 fuel stations, 735 markets, and 1,504 food trucks.
According to the report, damage to residential, educational, religious, and cultural facilities reached an unprecedented level, with the coalition targeting 622,354 homes, 203 university facilities, 2,018 mosques, 431 tourist facilities, and 475 hospitals and health facilities, in addition to destroying 1,487 schools and educational facilities, 14,231 agricultural fields, 157 sports facilities, 301 archaeological sites, and 75 media facilities.
