On the 7th of last month, Saudi Arabia surprisingly announced the formation of new alliances from the Red Sea to Mecca. These steps were considered by experts as a response and resentment towards the US, which continued to refuse any Saudi efforts to drag it into its new war on Yemen.
It was supposed that these alliances, especially “Mecca,” which includes the largest Islamic countries such as Turkey and Pakistan, would be sufficient for Saudi Arabia to cast America out of the region after it had abandoned it at a time of greatest need.
