Saudi Arabia has begun procedures to isolate the capital. Saudi media platforms reported that education has been suspended in the capital indefinitely, with the reinstatement of distance learning and via the Madrasati platform.
This is the first time Saudi Arabia has imposed this measure since the coronavirus pandemic years ago.
Although Saudi Arabia has not yet revealed the motives behind this decision, its timing indicates its anticipation of comprehensive confrontations, especially in light of its attempt to escalate in Yemen.
The capital, Riyadh, had been subjected over the past days to several Yemeni strikes that paralyzed movement at its international airport.
The decision to suspend education, according to experts, is part of Saudi arrangements for a total paralysis that may include financial and banking sectors and government institutions, especially after the Yemeni forces hinted at their readiness to strike the Saudi decision-making center in Riyadh.
The step is considered a Saudi admission of the failure to protect the capital despite the various defense systems that Saudi Arabia has deployed there.
