An analysis of the contents and implications of the Chief of the General Staff s message to the Lebanese resistance
On the 4th of Jumada al-Thani, 1447 AH, the Chief of the General Staff of the “Sana’a Forces,” Major General “Yusuf Al-Madani,” directed an “important message” to the military leadership of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance. This followed the assassination of the prominent Lebanese leader “Haitham Ali Al-Tabtabai” and his companions, all of whom were martyred due to an Israeli aggression that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut on the 2nd of Jumada Al-Thani, 1447 AH.

The message, which appears “protocol in form,” carried significant political and military implications in its content, reflecting the true positioning of Yemen today within the map of current regional tensions. It also delivered direct messages regarding the trajectory of Sana’a’s regional alliances and its vision of the ongoing conflict in the region within the framework of the principle of “unity of the battlefields.”
The Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut and the recent assassination crime represented an extension of a broader Israeli escalation phase stretching from Gaza to Lebanon and Syria. Therefore, the message from the Yemeni Chief of Staff came as a clear signal that Yemen is closely monitoring the “Israeli aggressive behavior” and views the targeting of resistance countries and their leaders as aggressive conduct requiring a firm response within the network of regional alliances.
