Amnesty International calls on the entity to stop forced displacement in Al Khan Al Ahmar and urges international action to protect Palestinians

Occupied Jerusalem – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Amnesty International has called on the Israeli occupation authorities to immediately halt all plans and practices of forced displacement targeting the “Al-Khan Al-Ahmar” residential community in the occupied West Bank.
The international organization affirmed in a statement that efforts to demolish the community and expel its Palestinian residents from their lands represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and fall under the policies of illegal deportation of civilians under occupation, which may amount to war crimes.
In the same context, the organization called on the international community and states parties to the Geneva Conventions to urgently intervene and take immediate action to exert real pressure on the Israeli government to protect Palestinian residents in Al-Khan Al-Ahmar and other areas of the West Bank.
It stressed the need to put an end to the policy of impunity and provide effective international protection for Palestinian citizens and their property, considering that continued international silence regarding these schemes encourages the occupation authorities to proceed with further land grabs and systematically displacing Palestinian families.
