An American newspaper reveals details of Sana a forces attacks on sensitive sites in Saudi Arabia

A report by the Wall Street Journal, based on informed sources and eyewitnesses, revealed a preliminary toll of strikes carried out by Sana’a forces at dawn today, Tuesday, on Saudi Arabia, targeting vital facilities and energy infrastructure.
According to what the Wall Street Journal reported, the Jazan refinery caught fire and went out of service as a result of Tuesday’s attacks, while sources indicated that the refinery’s production was already low due to previous strikes by Sana’a forces. The refinery’s operational capacity is 400,000 barrels per day, producing gasoline and ultra-low sulfur diesel.
Eyewitnesses confirmed to the newspaper that the refinery fire was visible from the city of Jazan on Tuesday morning, adding a field description of the fire to the sources’ accounts of the refinery going out of service.
According to the newspaper, the damage wasn’t limited to the refining facilities in Jazan but also included oil and gas storage facilities, including facilities at a power plant in Abha.
It explained that Khamis Mushait Air Base was subjected to precise shelling, while confirming that the extent of damage at the air base is unclear.
The sources explained that Tuesday’s attack occurred while Aramco was still assessing the damage from Monday’s strike on Jazan, as the facilities were subjected to a new strike before the assessment of the previous attack was completed, documenting the succession of attacks on the site over two days.
For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Energy confirmed that fires occurred in multiple sites and some operations were halted, with efforts to contain, secure the facilities, and assess the damage ongoing. However, it did not name the refinery or clearly specify the impact of these attacks on production and exports.
