Agreement between Washington and Riyadh to confront regional threats

The Saudi Press Agency stated that the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, signed a strategic defense agreement with US President Trump between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the US.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
According to the agency, the agreement confirms that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the US of America are security partners capable of joint action to confront regional and international challenges and threats, which deepens long-term defense coordination, enhances deterrence capabilities, and raises the level of readiness, alongside developing and integrating defense capabilities between the two parties.
Saudi Arabia classifies Yemen and the resistance movements in the region on its list of regional threats, and this is the only explanation for what was mentioned regarding the partnership to confront these threats. This is especially true since Riyadh does not classify the Israeli occupation entity as an enemy, which makes its agreements with Washington possible, as the US is ideologically and legally committed to the security of the occupation entity.
Although the agreement does not specify the type and extent of intervention Washington will undertake to defend Saudi Arabia, the Trump administration had announced days ago, through Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, the ten principles of the military strategy, among them imposing burden-sharing on allies.
The White House announced in a statement that the “defense” agreement with Saudi Arabia facilitates the work of American arms companies in the Kingdom and ensures Saudi financial contributions for cost-sharing.
